Nutmeg + Thyme plant-based are a small vegan, gluten-free food business based in Burford, offering home delivery, with monthly seasonal menus.
With lots of the traditional fish and chip shop offerings on the menu, I had to go for that Jack and chips. When I opened my takeaway box, the whole family were intrigued, and impressed at how realistic it looked from the outside.
The thing I was most intrigued to try was the ‘chicken’ tiki masala, made with vegan Quorn pieces. A number of local Indian restaurants have started to think about labelling vegan options on their menu, but as yet no one else is offering us something using mock meat. The dish didn’t disappoint.
