Review: The Bicycle Shed

They focus on good quality, seasonal food, so they’re refreshing what’s on offer fairly regularly, and they seem to be very inclusive in catering to a variety of dietary requirements. The bar and restaurant seemed like the perfect spot for a romantic and relaxed evening meal.

Review: The Story Cafe

You may find yourself wondering how I found my way to The Story Cafรฉ at The Story Museum as an adult without small children (to be honest I was slightly questioning it myself at the time!), but a quick glance at their menu and you’ll quickly figure it out.

Review: Cinnamon Kitchen

I feel like it wasn’t that long ago that I last reviewed Cinnamon Kitchen, but was excited to hear that Vivekย Singhโ€™s Cinnamon Collection was launching a new vegan menu and was grateful to be given the opportunity to visit their Westgate branch and check it out.

Review: Banana Tree

I’ve visited Banana Tree a couple of times before when I wasn’t vegan, and felt that it was quite hit and miss – if you ordered well, you’d love it, but if you made the wrong choice, you’d leave feeling pretty disappointed. Exploring the vegetarian menu though (most of which is also vegan), I found myself faced with way too many choices.

It was great to see that a number of these were vegan, showing that Wagamama is listening to feedback that we want more plant-based options!

Happy new year all! In the spirit of Veganuary, I thought I would start the year off with something a bit different from my usual posts. In the hopes of helping anyone who is new to veganism, interested in cooking more plant-based foods, or just plain curious about what on earth we eat, I thought I’d share a series of tips on issues around vegan living.

Review: Pho

Happy World Vegan Month fellow vegan foodies! I was happy to celebrate World Vegan Day (November 1st) at the brand new Pho in Westgate with my boyfriend, and a huge celebration it turned out to be because Pho had invited us to try as many vegan dishes as we liked.
