Considering the whole menu is relatively small, I was impressed to see a handful of vegan options. I was very torn between the vegan breakfast and the pancakes, in the end leaning towards the savoury option.

There’s a new community cafĂ© in Oxford and I’m happy to report it’s on my side of town! Cafe Kraken is a welcoming, relaxed food spot on Holloway, East Oxford with a focus on sustainability, therefore naturally an emphasis on plant-based food.
I have my own feelings about the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ government scheme that mean I don’t necessarily wish to endorse it, but for those who are looking to save some money on a vegan meal out this August, here are the Oxford restaurants taking part.
