We decided to go to Ask Italian as it’s really close to Odeon on George Street, and one of the few places offering a student discount in Oxford that we haven’t tried yet. Things were off to a good start when the waitress presented us with two free small glasses of freshly made pink lemonade shortly after we were seated.
Some months ago, a friend shared with me a link to an event that I couldn’t have dreamed of happening in my area until fairly recently. Fortuity Foods, a pop-up restaurant at The Kings Arms in Wheatley, was bringing Oxford vegans a fully plant-based, three course menu.
The Tree Hotel in Iffley village launched a vegan menu fairly recently, and since it’s been on my radar, I’ve been dying to find a time to try it out. As neither me or Jamie drive, it’s been a case of waiting until I had a day free to take a walk down there.
