Sourdough pizza restaurant Franco Manca is the latest addition to the plethora of food options on George Street, and I was very happy to be invited to try out their vegan pizza the week after they opened on 14th August.

The menus change almost daily so I think I could quite easily become a regular here and it would take a long time for me to get bored of the food. Today’s hot veggie dish was a chickpea tagine which was served with rice or potatoes, and your choice of hot green veg or one selection from the salad bar.
New Indian restaurant Thali opened on George Street at the end of last month and is a welcome bright addition amongst the row of mostly large-scale chain restaurants. I was very happy to receive an invitation from the lovely people at Thali to try their food – and it didn’t disappoint.
