For £32, you get a box containing three different vegan classics that you’ll recognise from Leon’s dine-in menu in more normal times, and a kilo of rice to serve them all with. Each meal serves four, so at just over £2.50 a portion, it comes in substantially cheaper than you’d be paying to tuck in in the Oxford city restaurant.
The lockdown period has given me the incentive to try out some vegan small businesses that are a bit further afield, and I’ve been loving the excuse to tuck into a box of sweet treats on the regular. This week’s order came from Lottie’s Vegan Bakery, who I had come across before at Gloucester Green Market on the odd occasion already.
When I saw Shakti Kitchen post on their feed about their own brand new Mexican Monday, launching as lockdown restrictions were slowly starting to be eased up, I couldn’t wait to try it.
