The discovery that The Paste-tree has vegan options was a complete surprise, found after scrolling aimlessly on Deliveroo for almost an hour trying to find somewhere new to eat.

Wetherspoons were surprisingly one of the earlier adopters among chains to offer reasonable vegan options (or at least, reasonable comparable to everything else they serve). In fact, I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to get round to posting about their menu!
I love the Mamma Mia pizza base – the crust was lovely and crisp, with the rest of the dough still soft but perfectly baked. The well-seasoned tomato sauce was covered with a generous handful of vegan cheese which actually melted.
